À la découverte de Valentine Penrose (1898-1978), poétesse dite surréaliste, et soldat de troisième classe basée en Algérie durant la seconde guerre mondiale. Retour sur les textes et collages d’une femme engagée méconnue qui furent composés et publiés uniquement en revue entre 1940 et 1946.

Presenter Biography

Séverine ORBAN is assistant professor of French at the College of Idaho and Chair of the Department of World Languages, Literatures and Cultures. She is a specialist of Valentine Penrose and Irène Hamoir, two poets associated with the surrealist movement in France and Belgium. She is also studying Eastern Philosophies with the aim of researching their impact on French and Francophone Literature of the 20th century.
