Abstract

Exploring the relationship between English as a global language and work as suggested by the imagery of doors, windows, and walls in Bong’s most recent films, this paper suggests how foreign-language directors may use translanguage to describe the complicated relationship between success, language ego, and labor as well as the consequences of not embracing the language of capitalism.
