Abstract
I propose to study the classical figure of the Oriental storyteller, its evolution, and the ways in which it gets translated, rewritten and revisited repeatedly by contact with Western audiences.
Presenter Biography
Ishleen Juneja is a graduate student in English Literature at Lehigh University. Her primary research interests are in 18C British travelogs which document journeys to the East. She is interested in tugging at the boundaries of the British Romantic movement, and explore its global inspirations, sources and manifestations.
