The virtual (online) Italian session explores an open range of topics and time periods focusing on the Italian historical, social, political, and cultural scene. Papers embrace a variety of themes investigating topics such as women and gender studies, the national and transnational aspects of Italian identity, the national and global city landscape, ecocinema, ecoliterature, music and fashion trends, food culture in literature, cinema, visual arts, and digital humanities in the field of Italian studies. Presentations will be both in English and Italian.

Papers may engage with (but are not limited to) the special conference theme "City of God, City of Destruction.” Papers are welcomed both in English and Italian.
