This session studies various aspects of New Italian literature, culture, media, music, or film, with an emphasis on immigration, migration, national or linguistic identities, and other discourses on Italian-ness in a globalized context.
This session invites proposals that explore aspects of New Italian literature, culture, media, music, or film, with an emphasis on immigration, migration, national or linguistic identities, or other discourses on Italian-ness in a globalized context. We are particularly interested in papers that relate to the conference theme, “City of God, City of Destruction,” by which the topics of urbanity and spirituality, and their multitudinous subgenres, can be explored through a global lens.
