The Comparative American Ethnic Literature session (a virtual/online session) will involve presentations and discussion about various American ethnic literatures, with possible topics including: literature which invites intersectional approaches; literature about conflicts between people of different ethnic backgrounds, including conflict based on religion, bodily and mental difference, or racial and gendered discrimination; social protest literature; depictions of destroyed cities and cities of destruction in American ethnic literature; literary representations of exile, longing, and belonging; and Native perspectives on land use and kinship.
The Comparative American Ethnic Literature session (a virtual/online session) welcomes proposals on a wide variety of topics. For this standing panel ALL topics related to Comparative American Ethnic Literature are encouraged. However, particular consideration will be granted to papers that engage with the conference theme of "City of God, City of Destruction." The panel therefore welcomes topics including, but not limited to:

*Literature which invites intersectional approaches
* Literature about conflicts between people of different ethnic backgrounds, including conflict based on religion; bodily and mental difference; racial and gendered discrimination
* Social Protest Literature
* Depictions of destroyed cities and cities of destruction in American Ethnic literature
* Literary representations of exile, longing, and belonging
*Native perspectives on land use and kinship
