This panel seeks proposals for papers on representations of femme fatale in different world cultures from the 18th to the 21st century in works of literature, cinema, music, painting, photography, etc.

This panel seeks proposals for papers on representations of femme fatale in different world cultures from the 18th to the 21st century in works of literature, cinema, music, painting, photography, etc. The objective of this panel is to explore how the representations of this figure changed over time in different media and to debate how these changes are documented in relation to politics, gender, history, feminism, etc. at the time, as well as draw conclusions about similarities and differences of these representations in different cultural and political contexts.
