The Italian session therefore invites proposals that relate to (but are not limited by) the following themes:
· Ruling classes and conflict in literature (prose or poetry), film, art
· Cultural mediation
· Transnational literary networks
· Historical and political contexts
The Italian Studies session explores the Italian historical, social, political, literary, and cultural scene across a broad range of topics and time periods. This year, we specifically invite inquiries into the role and representations of our ruling classes, class conflict, and social relations in general.
